Ant-Man News: Details of Test Footage Shown at Comic Con and of His Suit Too

The Internet has gone crazy with Ant-Man news, rumors and updates now that Marvel Studios has officially announced the new movie will indeed be a part of their cinematic universe at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con last Saturday night.

Initially we here at The Daily SuperHero were told Ant-Man's suit would be based off the suit in the Irredeemable Ant-Man comic story but one of our Hollywood sources was actually in the Marvel panel at Comic Con and had the following to report.

"Ant-Man's suit is more a crossover mix between the classic look and a modern look. The classic mask was in place but his suit was less red and darker to look more like a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent uniform. 
The test footage shown of Ant-Man is as follows. It was only one scene in a long hallway with two men in dark sunglasses guarding an elevator. Then Ant-Man appears out of a vent and in his tiny size so the guards do not see him since he is so small.  
Ant-Man starts running down the hall, still in his small size, toward the guards who see the small hero coming at them. The tiny hero jumps up onto one of the guards' guns and runs along the barrel of the gun. He leaps off the gun right at the face of the one guard and uses his full momentum and weight to punch the guard hard, knocking him out.  
Ant-Man then grows to normal size and attacks the other guard by flipping over him and throwing him toward a window."

Our source said the size changing looked fantastic and the violence was brutal and should make for a great action movie when it hits theaters sometime in 2015.

To give you some idea how Ant-Man's suit may look we have taken several images of Ant-Man from his look in the Silver Age, his more modern look and an image writer/director Edgar Wright tweeted out a couple months ago.




Final point of note, since it is said to be a darker version of the suit as seen in the test footage, and the fact Wright confirmed the suit seen in the footage will more or less be how the suit looks in the movie, look for a deeper dark red and black combination. Just our theory based on info provided to us though.
