The 2012 San Diego Comic Con is now in the rear view mirror (sniff, sniff) but this doesn't mean there isn't information from last week's convention that is not widely known.
Potential spoiler alert coming up next.
In an interview at the Con, Iron Man 3 actor Don Cheadle—who plays James "Rhodey" Rhodes and War Machine—confirmed War Machine will get a "new look" in the third installment of the movie. However, Cheadle did not confirm if he will actually be wearing the Iron Patriot suit that has already been seen on-set in North Carolina but it is quite obvious this is the new suit War Machine will don.
Even though it is still an assumption, you can bet on the fact War Machine could not only wear a version of his suit seen in Iron Man 2 but he will add Iron Patriot to his attire too. Just like how Tony Stark has multiple suits in his Hall of Armor.
It has been, and still is, the opinion of us here at The Daily SuperHero that the Iron Patriot suit is War Machine's "dress attire" for official military events to show a more patriotic side to the armor and his traditional armor is mainly for battle and missions.
Whichever way this plays out, it is great to hear Cheadle tease a little something about his character in May's Iron Man 3.
