Marvel and Fox Deal UPDATE: No Silver Surfer, No Galactus For Marvel Who Will Probably Get Daredevil Back Instead
Just hours ago a report was out saying how Marvel and Fox were in talks to work out a deal so Fox could have an extension on the rights to Daredevil and to continue development on a reboot. In exchange for this extension on the film rights, Marvel was rumored to be asking for the rights to both the Silver Surfer and Galactus back.
Now the folks over at Deadline have talked to their insiders who say there is no deal on the table between Marvel and Fox and even though Fox would love to reboot Daredevil, they seem ready to let the movie rights return back to Marvel Studios. This means Fox cares more about their Fantastic Four franchise. But after two lackluster movies, this franchise needs to either be given its due diligence or just let Marvel get back their first family too.
Look for Marvel to possibly consider rebooting Daredevil as their first R-rated superhero film once he comes back home.
Stay tuned to The Daily SuperHero as we are certain this is not the end of this story since updates should be coming about Fox focusing on a Fantastic Four reboot sooner than later. In theory.
