THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2: Paul Giamatti Confirms RHINO is a Suit, Not a Serum

Earlier this year, actor Paul Giamatti was seen on location in New York City in a giant pre-CG contraption as Rhino in next summer's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The Daily SuperHero even contacted several graphic artists to get their opinion on Rhino's pre-CG suit.

No one was sure if the villain would be completely computer generated, due to a serum which creates Rhino, or if it would be Giamatti wearing a suit or armor in the Spider-Man sequel. But now the actor has confirmed the latter to the Toronto Sun.

"In the comic books of old, [Rhino] had this suit on that made him look like a rhinoceros, and it made him super strong. If there was a bank vault he would just run right through it. But through it with his head. And he was not very smart." 

"And I have a particular kind of suit, but I don't think I'm supposed to talk about it. He's a Russian mobster. Russians are always good villains. I have an ability to just destroy things."

Based on Giamatti's comments it sounds like Rhino may be more Iron Man-like than some fans thought, or even would've liked. It also needs to be noted that it has already been confirmed in the past, that Rhino is not the main villain in the sequel... that title belongs to Jamie Foxx's Electro. Rhino is implied to being saved for a future Spider-Man film (Sinister Six showdown?).
