GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: Rocket Raccoon Character Details Teased and He's "Not What You Would Expect"

Director James Gunn has said Rocket Raccoon is the "heart of the movie" several times the past few months during filming of the 2014 Marvel Studios movie. Now, with Guardians of the Galaxy wrapping principle photography last week, post-production begins and this should mean more and more teases by Marvel and its actors until the film releases next summer.

Actors Chris Pratt and Michael Rooker have already starting the teases with the one character who many are dying to know more about, Rocket Raccoon.

Rooker, who plays the blue-skinned Yondu, spoke with SciFiNow (via CBM) and talked about his character's dislike of the furry, gun-totting badass.

"Rocket and I don’t get along, he’s a bit abrupt and brash for my taste."

Meanwhile, Pratt chatted with Access Hollywood and went into more detail about Rocket, who is being voiced by Bradley Cooper.

"You think it’s a cartoon character, but it’s not, it’s a very real creature.
"[Rocket's been] tortured his whole life and no one else likes him, so he’s lonely and he’s angry ... [there's] all these elements [to Rocket Raccoon]. I think it will and that’s why they hired a really good actor to do the role. I could not be more excited that Bradley Cooper is voicing Rocket Raccoon, it’s a great character. It’s probably the best character in the movie, just because it’s not what you would expect."

Hey Marvel, can we get an official image of Rocket? Fans want to see more of him please!

Guardians of the Galaxy releases in theaters on August 1, 2014.
