THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Trailer Has Doc Ock and Vulture Foreshadowing, Plus a Shadowy Figure Returns

The first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is finally out and while there are lots of questions about it one thing is certain... Oscorp is manufacturing villains. This has also been confirmed by director Marc Webb in a recent interview with USA Today, too.

If you haven't seen the new trailer yet, take a couple of minutes to watch it below and then check out some screenshots and observations made from the first official trailer. (Click the below images to enlarge them.)

Hello Rhino

This is our first look at the Rhino and the suit is very 'Iron Monger-like' from the first Iron Man film. It also looks military.

The Green Goblin Cometh

Based on what is seen in the trailer, it seems quite obvious that Harry Osborn has a touch of an evil bug inside of him. With Norman Osborn still ill on his bed in the trailer, it looks to be Harry taking the mantle of the Green Goblin in the sequel.

Shadowy Figure Returns, Plus Doc Ock's Tentacles and Vulture's Wings

If you remember back to the end credits scene in The Amazing Spider-Man, Dr. Curt Connors (Lizard) got a visit from a shadowy figure in his cell and this mysterious person has returned in the new trailer. Not only has he returned but he has some kind of connection to Oscorp's creation of all these super villains since you can clearly see him walking by Doctor Octopus' tentacles and Vulture's wings. Is this Norman? Peter Parker's father, Richard? Maybe someone else?

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 releases in theaters on May 2, 2014.
