ANT-MAN Starts Production and Actor John Slattery Added to Reprise His Older HOWARD STARK Role

It finally happened! Marvel's Ant-Man has started production in San Francisco today. After a short time in San Francisco, Ant-Man will then move to Atlanta to film the majority of its scenes.

If you live in San Francisco or Atlanta and see or hear about a movie filming called 'BIGFOOT' then that is Ant-Man. So get your cameras ready because you may see actor Paul Rudd in the Ant-Man suit or perhaps you'll catch a glimpse of Michael Douglas or one of the other cast members.

Regarding the cast, Marvel made the official production announcement for Ant-Man today and revealed its main cast. One name to note is that of actor John Slattery. If you are not familiar with the name, he is the guy who played an older Howard Stark in Iron Man 2.

It seems like some kind of flashback, which has been rumored, will happen and most likely feature Slattery's older Stark in a scene with either Douglas' Dr. Hank Pym or with a younger Pym portrayed by a younger actor. However, the flashback won't go too far back in time since actor Dominic Cooper plays the much younger Howard Stark in Captain America: The First Avenger and in the Marvel One-Shot Agent Carter.

Ant-Man releases in theaters on July 17, 2015.

Marvel's synopsis of Ant-Man:

"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."
