Is there a film in production right now with more leaks and rumors than Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice? Maybe Star Wars Episode VII but Batman v. Superman seems to have a new leak or rumor every 2-3 days.
The latest rumor has to do with actor Scoot McNairy's role in Batman v. Superman. Remember the set photos of McNairy wearing green socks for some post-production CG work and most assumed he'd be the Flash or Metallo (or whomever else was rumored)? Per a new rumor report by the website TheDevilsEyes.com, an extra from Batman v. Superman has provided the site some details of McNairy's possible role. Here's your potential SPOILER ALERT warning.
"The extra states it like this: 'Scoot is playing Jimmy Olsen, but with a bit of a twist. Jimmy was injured during the battle of Zod vs Superman. His legs where pinned under falling building rubble and that caused him to lose the legs. He now walks with the use of two prosthetic legs.' The source goes on to add 'He doesn't blame Superman for it [his loss of legs]. He feels grateful that Superman saved the world.'"
If this is true, it does makes sense. Although extras are not provided with such detail about a single character when on set. So until its confirmed by Warner Bros. or director Zack Snyder it needs to be considered just a rumor... for now.
Batman v. Superman releases in theaters on March 25, 2016.
