THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Director Marc Webb Talks Potential SINISTER SIX Members



The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is in stores now and if you go to Target to purchase yours you can get a bonus special feature disc, while supplies last, called "Something Sinister This Way Comes." (Sounds like Yoda from Star Wars named that featurette.)

In the bonus disc, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb talks about how the sequel sets up the Sinister Six team and he briefly touches on a few characters like Mysterio but he never confirms any official team members. Meanwhile, there are some websites reporting that Webb did confirm Mysterio and Kraven are a part of the Sinister Six roster but he only talks about their potential of being on the team.

The director also mentions how Blur Studios and Tim Miller (the studio and director who brought fans the amazing Deadpool movie test footage) have been, and are, designing the technology for the Sinister Six.

“So we’ve got this company called Blur [Studios], Tim Miller to start designing the elements of the Sinister Six, the hardware of the Sinister Six, which is something that’s hinted at in the movie."

Webb then discusses Mysterio but never confirms he's a part of the Sinister Six team.

“It’s tricky, because we’re not exactly sure if all those people are going to be in the Sinister Six or even in the next movie. Like the Mysterio mask, I just think looks really cool. And I love Mysterio, but we [Sony's Spider-Man brain trust] haven’t all agreed on it, so but I just forced it in because I thought it looked cool."

While it's apparent Mysterio is being heavily considered for the villain ensemble team-up, there is no confirmation of it right now. The part when Webb says "we haven't all agreed on it" is definitely not a confirmation at this moment in the development of a Sinister Six roster and standalone movie .

 Sinister Six is rumored to start filming sometime in the first half of 2015 and already has a release date set for November 11, 2016.
