Ultron Hinted to Have Vibranium Body in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON; Could a BLACK PANTHER Cameo be Coming Too?
Also, we know that Ultron will go through at least two body upgrades (maybe more) with one being a broken down robotic body and another being an 8-foot-tall robot monster toward the end of the film, as reported in the sequel's Comic-Con sizzle reel last weekend.
Thor actor Chris Helmsworth spoke with Screen Rant and hinted at what Ultron is made of and also says the villain splits up the team at some point in the Avengers sequel.
"Really thick metal. He could be made of ... [Helmsworth forgot what the metal is called until Screen Rant reminded him] ... VIBRANIUM! That’s it … Look, he’s physically strong, this villain [Ultron], but also highly intelligent. He is artificial intelligence and has access to every piece of information that is and ever was, so he’s able to manipulate all sorts of things – including the dynamic of the team – and split [the Avengers] up."
Let's focus on the vibranium part of Helmworth's comment.
First, it is known that Captain America's shield is made of the rare, energy absorbing metal. Next, it is also known that Cap's shield is broken at some point in Avengers: Age of Ultron and this pretty much confirms, without officially confirming it, that Ultron will have a vibranium body which is most likely the most logical explanation, for right now, on how Cap's shield is broken. (Similar to how only a diamond can scratch a diamond.) Finally, in the comic universe, the only hidden source of vibranium on Earth is located in Wakanda which is also where T'Challa, the Black Panther, resides.
Does this mean the Panther may cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron? Or maybe just an Easter Egg tease that Wakanda exists so Panther can be introduced in a later movie like Captain America 3, and so Steve Rogers can go there to get his shield fixed?
Lots of "ifs" right now. Theorists start speculating!
Avengers: Age of Ultron releases in theaters on May 1, 2015.
