CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 Directors Can't Talk About HAWKEYE Stating "It's Too Specific"

Marvel fans love Hawkeye and want more screen time for the Avenger in upcoming films. Only having a cameo intro in Thor and then being brainwashed by Loki in The Avengers, Hawkeye really needs a strong supporting role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The expert archer will have more screen time in next summer's Avengers: Age of Ultron, per writer/director Joss Whedon, and he was previously seen filming on location with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Even though he was in an early draft of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but cut out, it seems like Captain America 3 directors Anthony and Joe Russo are trying relaly hard to get him into Cap's third film. Actor Jeremy Renner recently teased that he's heard rumblings about being in the third film (see post link below) but the directors cannot talk about it.

"Unfortunately we can’t [talk about it], Anthony said to SuperHeroHype. "It’s too specific to what the movie may be."
"There are certainly characters that Cap is close to or has a strong relationship with that would make sense appearing in his films," Joe also said.

Translation: Hawkeye is definitely in the current script draft of Captain America 3. Otherwise, the Russos would be able to talk about him.

Captain America 3 releases in theaters on May 6, 2016.
