Chris Hemsworth Hints THOR 3 Will Film Sometime in 2016; This Means 2017 Release is Being Targeted

Sometimes a website has a chance to visit a movie set and write up a tremendously informative article about an upcoming movie. This was the case for BuzzFeed as they managed to visit the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron in the U.K.

Somewhat hidden within their long column, was a little bit of information said by Thor actor Chris Hemsworth. The actor confirms filming for Thor 3 is coming in 2016.

When asked about what he is filming next in 2015 and after Age of Ultron, Hemsworth said it "won’t be Thor 3 — that will be the following year."

As of right now, for Thor 3, it is known that screenwriter Christopher Yost (Thor: The Dark World) is scripting the threequel. Marvel Studios traditionally shoots its movies 12-16 months ahead of its theatrical release so it can be assumed Thor 3 will be one of the two dates currently free and scheduled for an untitled Marvel release, on May 5, 2017 or November 3, 2017. (Probably November since The Dark World came out in November.)

Will Thor 3 join Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as another Marvel Studios film release in 2017? According to Hemsworth it seems highly probable now.
