Filming begins in Montreal in April 2015 for X-Men: Apocalypse, and while not much is known about the next X-Men ensemble movie The Hollywood Reporter writes that the romance between Magneto and Mystique will take center stage.
"[X-Men] Apocalypse is being crafted around [Jennifer] Lawrence's Mystique character and Michael Fassbender's Magneto. A source who has seen the script says Fox will take full advantage of Lawrence and Fassbender's star power, placing Mystique and Magneto's romance front and center."
Fans will finally see one of the X-Men's greatest and most powerful villains in Apocalypse, as well as his Four Horsemen, but the drama between Mystique and Magneto (and it is assumed Charles Xavier too) will continue to be a major part of this film as it has been in X-Men: First Class and X-Men Days of Future Past.
X-Men: Apocalypse releases in theaters on May 27, 2016.
