DEBUNKED: Fox is Allegedly Unhappy so THE FANTASTIC FOUR is Going Back For a Scary Amount of Reshoots

This seems like it was bound to happen. Based on several reports, 20th Century Fox's The Fantastic Four reboot seems to be in trouble. Let's not tiptoe around this subject because it's obvious fans are not excited about Fox's reboot of Marvel's first family and there's allegedly some serious problems with it.

OFFICIAL UPDATE: Producer Simon Kinberg has debunked rumors and confirmed its trailer release. Click here to read.

But where to begin with what's looking like a train wreck? Multiple sources are reporting that this movie is an absolute disaster right now. The website Bleeding Cool has officially opened Pandora's Box and they report:

"We get the word that people at Fox are not happy with the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, directed by Josh Trank. While some have called it 'Chronicle 2 rather than Fantastic 4,' this is clearly not what the studio was looking for.
"One well-connected senior executive described it to me as 'a mess.' And multiple sources are telling me about major disquiet at Fox regarding the state of the movie."

Oy vey... this is exactly what I feared since Fox has releasing NOTHING about The Fantastic Four. Filming began in mid-2014 in Louisiana and since then NOTHING. Even Marvel Studios was able to release an image of actor Paul Rudd from the set of Ant-Man days after filming began. It's not hard to take a photo on set and release it as a teaser. Even X-Men director Bryan Singer did it like everyday while filming Days of Future Past.

But the issues don't stop there. Bleeding Cool also reports the production is going back to Louisiana because the studio is "demanding" reshoots. The site Badass Digest then adds that they've confirmed the reshoots have been planned for over a month. Plus, there are several other potential rumor reports claiming the reshoots could be for over a month. OVER A MONTH! Big red flag there, if true. Badass Digest then writes how the film may not be a disaster as many claim:

"I will say one thing: a lot of the 'it's a mess' stuff I'm hearing about Fantastic Four sounds exactly like (and is coming from some of the same people) what I heard about Rise of the Planet of the Apes a few months out. That film, without its CGI in place, seemed like an embarrassment waiting to happen, but once the FX work was complete Fox found themselves with a great film and a franchise-starter on their hands. Is that the case with Fantastic Four? I know a lot of the big impact scenes are FX heavy, and that The Thing is totally CG, so possibly."

So maybe there's a chance it'll be good, right?! I know fans should really wait until the first trailer is released before passing any judgement but this movie has had more drama and issues surrounding it than even Marvel's Ant-Man had. And Ant-Man only comes out three weeks before The Fantastic Four and fans have gotten images, concept art and its first teaser trailer already. (Just saying.)

Its first trailer will reportedly release in front of Kingsman: The Secret Service on February 13, but if there's over a month of reshoots being planned then it'll be tough to hit that deadline let alone the movie's actual release date. Seems like The Fantastic Four is trending more to be a fantastic flop, at least it is if all of this is true and it's being corroborated by more than one reliable source and website. Shrug...

The Fantastic Four is scheduled to release in theaters on August 7, 2015 . . . maybe.
