Marvel's SPIDER-MAN Brings a Shift to Phase 3 Release Dates Pushing Other Films Back for its July 2017 Release
The Spider-Man effect is officially taking place now that Sony and Marvel Studios have officially announced their new partnership deal bringing the web-slinger into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios has announced an official release date for Marvel's Spider-Man on July 28, 2017 which pushed out the previous release date for Thor: Ragnarok.
Thor 3 has now been pushed back to a November 3, 2017 release. Black Panther will then move to a July 6, 2018 release. Captain Marvel will now hit theaters on November 2, 2018 and, finally, Inhumans will release on July 12, 2019. So Spider-Man pushed back every solo film in Phase 3 and Avengers: Infinity War, Part I and II will not change its theatrical release dates.
Whether or not Inhumans still remains in Phase 3 or is the start of Phase 4 remains to be seen but, as of right now, Marvel has not said the latter so it should still be considered the conclusion to Marvel's Phase 3.
Also, there is a report that Sony's Sinister Six Spidey spin-off is still in development but its 2016 release date is no longer set in stone. Sony is still hoping to eventually releasing the spin-off, but obviously their main focus is now to successfully bring Spider-Man into the MCU.
