Rumor: Captain Kirk Wanted as the Next GREEN LANTERN?

In case you haven't noticed, today's Hollywood actors are multi-tasking multiple franchise roles on their resume. This should not shock anyone as Hollywood has been in an Age of Franchises whether it's a prequel, sequel or reboot.

The newest rumored name in the market for another franchise role is actor Chris Pine who you may know better as being Captain Kirk in the Star Trek reboot. According to Latino-Review's Umberto Gonzalez, Pine is in the running to be Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment's next Green Lantern.

Previously, played by Ryan Reynolds, it was widely assumed that Warner would go a different direction with the next Green Lantern and instead of reusing Hal Jordan they would go with John Stewart's Green Lantern.

It is not confirmed if Green Lantern will have a cameo in next year's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice but it can be assumed he will appear in Justice League in 2017.
