THE NEW MUTANTS Director Josh Boone Started His Comic Book Research But it Actually Began When He Was a Kid
Last week story broke that Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) would develop, co-write and direct Fox's newest addition to their expanding mutant movie universe with THE NEW MUTANTS. And it seems like Boone is not only up for the challenge but that he's been a lifelong fan of comic books, too.
Over on his Twitter account since the story broke, Boone has shared an old photo of himself and his co-writer of THE NEW MUTANTS reading comics together as kids. He also shared photos implying that his research to crack the story for THE NEW MUTANTS has now begun.

@drewsykes Yeah, no one sends you comics when you make a comic book movie. All from my library. I have an equal amount of Spidey and Hulk.— Josh Boone (@JoshBooneMovies) May 18, 2015
@P_Man1980 I know all the characters I'm going to use and I can't tell ANYONE.— Josh Boone (@JoshBooneMovies) May 18, 2015
Fox has not officially commented on THE NEW MUTANTS but Boone's Twitter account more than confirms his is now developing, attached to and working on this new movie project.
