In the last few years actor and studio contracts have become a hot topic. This is mostly due to Marvel Studios who sign their actors to multi-picture deals to secure appearances in solo films and other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
On July 17, ANT-MAN releases in theaters and introduces the MCU to its newest hero played by actor Paul Rudd. In a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed Rudd is signed to a 5-picture deal with three appearances guaranteed and two film options by Marvel to max out Rudd's full 5-picture deal.
"It was multiple [picture deal], like every [Marvel] movie nowadays. Three is the minimum. But I think it's three-plus-plus to appear in other things."
With ANT-MAN releasing next month and Rudd confirmed to appear in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, it seems like Rudd is left with three films on his deal. One guaranteed film appearance left and two film options for other possible future appearances in the MCU.
