Rumor cannot be emphasized enough for this post because the source of this is the website Acting-Auditions.org. Since many websites are now reporting this rumor, it is something to at least share on The Daily SuperHero even though I don't give this rumor much credibility.
The Acting-Auditions website has been known to post casting information and way-too-early plot descriptions and today they've posted AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR PART I plot info that includes a big "take this with a grain of salt" notation.
Whether this is truth or fiction is unknown, but if you don't want to know anything about this rumor then here is your SPOILER ALERT. You've been warned. Read on after the image.
Here's what the website wrote:
"The film is the first of a two-part sequel in which Thanos plays a major role, along with the Magus. Adam Warlock's bad side, the Magus, separates from his body and assembles the Infinity Gauntlet. Magus creates doppelgängers of Earth's heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil."
There are a few things to discuss about this. First is that Magus is Adam Warlock's dark side. He has played a part is in Infinity Gauntlet comic book stories of the past. When Warlock acquired the gauntlet, in the comics, he purges himself of good and evil in order to control the gauntlet, thus Magus was created. Another part of this rumor that needs addressing is the "Magus creates doppelgängers of Earth's heroes" part. Not that this isn't plausible to happen but having evil versions of all the heroes sounds like some speculation right now. Remember, this is just a rumor.
Could any this become true? Of course, but with Infinity War still three years away from release it is still in its very early stages of development as writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are currently drafting the Part I of the two-part movie.
