There's been word online claiming Marvel Studios might be done with full blown origin movies. But according to studio head Kevin Feige, via Zap2It, it sounds like DOCTOR STRANGE will have some of his comic book origin story in his movie.
"'Doctor Strange,' for instance, is kind of [in his own world]. He's in New York, but he's a surgeon and he's got his own thing going on, and when he has to try to fix his hands he goes on another journey."
If you're not familiar with his comic book origin, Strange is a top surgeon and he severely injures his hands in an accident. He then goes to Tibet and meets The Ancient One who takes him under his wing and teaches him the ways of the Mystic Arts.
In this interview, Feige also confirmed Strange will be a brain surgeon in before injuring his hands. So far this all sounds quite similar to Strange's origin tale.
DOCTOR STRANGE releases on November 4, 2016.
