Marvel Studios President on Skipping San Diego Comic-Con 2015: "If You Can't Go Over-Deliver, Then Don't Go"

There's a tremendous amount of honesty to that quote in the headline by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, and he's not wrong. If you cannot deliver the biggest news that will shake the walls of Hall H, then you probably shouldn't attend.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Feige, who was candid in his response as to why Marvel Studios is not hosting their highly anticipated annual presentation at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con International.

“It was just timing. We had done that [Phase 3 announcement] event in October, when we announced so much. Everyone knows what we're doing over the next few years. I really have a belief: If you can't go to Comic-Con and over-deliver, then don't go.”

Marvel Studios probably could "over-deliver" if they wanted to, but that might seem like they were forcing their presentation to be bigger than it really is. Matter of fact, the Marvel Studios presentation at SDCC last year felt a little flat since there wasn't any huge headline-making news to reveal.
