Last year, 20th Century Fox announced a July 13, 2018 release date for what they called "an untitled X-Men movie." Many fans assumed this might have be a solo mutant movie or perhaps the sequel to X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.
Well a new rumor report, via Latino-Review, claims the 2018 release date will in fact be an X-Men movie but it could also be a long time rumored X-Men and Fantastic Four crossover movie.
"If Josh Trank’s reboot of Fantastic Four can manage not to suck and Fantastic Four 2 in 2018 isn’t a complete disaster in the production phase AND assuming X-Men: Apocalypse doesn’t nose dive the entire franchise, the current plan is to have 2018’s Fox comic book movie be a crossover film that features the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Presumably they would keep Trank’s FF cast, though who would comprise the X-Men is still as unclear..."
Who doesn't want to see an X-Men and Fantastic Four crossover movie? In fact, I've heard some great things from my production insider stating internal screenings of the FANTASTIC FOUR reboot are getting solid responses and it could surprise a lot of moviegoers who don't think the reboot will be good.
