FANTASTIC FOUR Teases Aren't Getting it the Hype it Should a Month Before Release But Some Fans Are Optimistic
In Entertainment Weekly's San Diego Comic-Con 2015 issue, they've released a bunch of new images and information for upcoming films like BATMAN V. SUPERMAN, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, DEADPOOL and several other big upcoming films. But their post on the FANTASTIC FOUR reboot has a lot to be desired when it comes to getting fans excited for Marvel's first family.
Director Josh Trank teased the movie to EW but it was so vague it sounds like it's a forced comment that isn't really hyping the reboot.
"The audience should expect an epic, massive, huge, multi-power slugfest. This movie is big. A lot of stakes.
Writer and producer Simon Kinberg also chimed in but at the expense of not revealing anything cool for the reboot.
"I get the skepticism going into it because the previous [Fantastic Four] movies weren’t very good. It’s a very hard title to crack.”
This comes on the heels of the reveal of a fully frontal, pants-less Thing in a new image and television spot released by Fox last week. And lots of fans were not a fan of seeing Thing in his birthday suit. (Click here to see the fan reaction post.)
Regardless of the vague teases and a lack of pants, some fans are still intrigued by the reboot and some are not. Here's what some of the fans said when The Daily SuperHero requested some thoughts on the reboot on Twitter...

@DailySuperHero not sure why they're younger, but have faith in the actors, especially Kate Mara and Miles Teller— arkham knight af anu (@barbaragordcn) July 4, 2015
@DailySuperHero I think they're going down the ASM route. Darker and more "realistic" doesn't necessarily mean better though.— SuperStuff (@_SuperStuff) July 4, 2015
@DailySuperHero very DC themed style.— Naqiuddin Wahab (@nqddnwhb) July 4, 2015

@DailySuperHero I thing they have not really caught their essence. There's something missing. And the cast is not appropriate.— 1121 (@AhsleyAnn) July 4, 2015
@DailySuperHero For me the FF always meant "family" w/ Reed as the wise father & Ben as the cranky uncle. This new team is NOT that. #2young— Paul Pawuk (@JediNut) July 4, 2015

The #FantasticFour reboot success might all hinge on #Doom. How he's portrayed, his villainy, his powers, his action scenes, etc.— The Daily SuperHero (@DailySuperHero) July 4, 2015
