Played by actor Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) there's been rumors about who Doom is and how he fits into the new movie. One such rumor was him being this angry online blogger which would fit into today's modern society but also does not sound like a master villain. Doom's character is still unknown but a little tease about him has been made.
In the new San Diego Comic-Con 2015 issue of Entertainment Weekly, Kebbell teases Doom (as transcribed from the print edition).
"Doom's a little older [than the members of the Fantastic Four], a little more wizened, a little more bitter. And [Reed Richards is] so optimistic about what can be achieved. They need one another. It's a little like God and the devil."
The actor then briefly talks about his villain costume.
"There were three or four days of tests in the suit to see whether I could jump, whether I could actually see. The breathing they weren't so concerned about."
