JESSICA JONES Showrunner on the New Show: "Flawed... Damaged... Wildly Different... No Mask..."

Marvel Television is currently in production with their next original Netflix series JESSICA JONES, which is based on the Marvel comic book series 'Alias.' Starring Kyrsten Ritter in the title role the series follows the adventures of Jones' super hero-turned-private investigator in Hell's Kitchen.

At the Television Critic's Association press tour yesterday, JESSICA JONES showrunner Melissa Rosenberg spoke briefly (via EW) about the new show which has been confirmed by Netlfix to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2015.

“[She is] incredibly flawed, damaged and [an] interesting character regardless of gender.
“Jessica Jones is a very, very different show than Daredevil. We exist in a cinematic universe, [and] the mythology of the universe is connected, but they look very different, tonally they’re very different… That was my one concern coming in: Am I going to have to fit into Daredevil or what’s come before? And the answer is no.”

Rosenberg did say how the show will be "wildly different" than DAREDEVIL and also gave some praise to her star.

"My show’s called Jessica Jones. There is no mask. Krysten Ritter is the hardest working woman in show biz.”

Nothing about the story was revealed and this was more fluff comments to hype up the show but this was a press tour which is meant to get critics to buy into the hype of upcoming shows and series anyway.
