X-MEN / FANTASTIC FOUR Crossover Movie Hinted by Bryan Singer But it Depends on the Success of the Reboot and Apocalypse

This was probably the worst kept secret at 20th Century Fox for a while now and director Bryan Singer has hinted at it as long as (if) the FANTASTIC FOUR reboot is a success. There are plans in place for a huge ensemble movie crossover with the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises.

Rumored and speculated about for a long time, here's what Singer said to Yahoo! Movies.

“We’ll have to see how [X-MEN: APOCALYPSE and FANTASTIC FOUR] turn out. To just say you’re going to do [a crossover] would be a mistake, you have to see how the films evolve before you make that decision to completely commit to that.
“That would be a natural match-up because they’re both ensemble films and there is a natural mechanism by which to do it.”

Singer then offered up a bit of a tease on how these two Marvel franchise would be able to crossover.

“It deals with time. That’s all I’m going to say.”

Of course it deals with time because Singer's previous movie, X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, dealt with time and it's rumored that X-MEN: APOCALYPSE may deal with time a little bit as well.

First things first though... the FANTASTIC FOUR reboot needs to be a success when it releases on August 7. If that doesn't happen then there won't be any crossover movie.
