A new AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Easter Egg in one of the newly released bonus features. This new reveal is a history lesson for Ulysses Klaue and Black Panther.
Here's a screenshot revealing the Easter Egg...
Since it's hard to read, the following was transcribed by SlashFilm:
"Ulysses Klaue was an assassin hired to take down T’Chaka at the Bilderberg conference in the case that he refused to negotiate Wakanda’s resources including Vibranium. But, Klaue was also there personally, as the Panther killed his great-grandfather in the 19th century while this one was trying to annex Wakanda. He was paid ten million dollars for the kill."
If you're not familiar with the comics T'Chaka is T'Challa's father and he is killed by Ulysses Klaw (spelling was changed for Age of Ultron) right in front of T'Challa. Klaw is then attacked by the son and his hand is severely injured in the battle. T'Challa then becomes the next Black Panther, which is a mantle passed down from father to son as the protector/defender of Wakanda.
How much the comics will influence the movie origin of actor Chadwick Boseman's version of Black Panther is not yet known but it could use some of the comics' origin as its basis. It does appear that actor Andy Serkis could have a growing role in the BLACK PANTHER solo movie if the studio wants to continue this story arc.
