It's rumor time for LUKE CAGE. The first synopsis for Marvel and Netflix's LUKE CAGE series has allegely been revealed. But it's also being reported that this synopsis may change, of course.
Here's the rumored synopsis:
“Luke Cage is a former gang member who is framed for a crime. In prison, he volunteers for a medical experiment that goes awry, giving him super strength and bulletproof skin. Using his newfound powers, Cage escapes and becomes a hero for hire. His archenemy is Willy Stryker, a former childhood friend from Harlem. The two committed petty crimes together, and both fell for the same woman, Reva Connors, which led to their eventual falling out. It was Stryker who framed Cage for a drug deal that sent him to prison.”
Willy Stryker is also known as the villain Diamondback, so if this is true, he will most likely be the series' villain. Reva Connors is a friend to both and seems to be the common love interest of both Stryker and Cage. Also, there is mention of a drug deal which would line up with a recent casting report stating that the drug lord Black Mariah might be in the series. (See the story link below.)
Again, none of this is confirmed so take some of this with the rumor for now...
