STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS - J.J. Abrams Confirms if Kylo Ren is Sith, Andy Serkis' Role and Raises More Questions

This post contains what some may perceive as SPOILERS for The Force Awakens but these are bits of info Lucasfilm wants fans to know in advance since it is being published online and in print magazine. Read on at your own risk.

Is he a Sith? This has been one of the many questions surrounding Kylo Ren since the moment he ignited his unique lightsaber in the first teaser for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS.

Writer and director J.J. Abrams has now confirmed to Empire Online he is not.

"Kylo Ren is not a Sith. He works under Supreme Leader Snoke, who is a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force.”

If you don't know who Snoke is, it was confirmed in May this is the character who actor Andy Serkis will be. Previously, not much has been revealed about Serkis' Snoke character except he would be a motion capture performance; and the following image was released on Star Wars' website.

So Serkis a really bad guy called Supreme Leader Snoke and he is a very powerful Dark Side user who Kylo Ren either works secretly for or mentors under to learn the power of the Dark Side of the Force.

Is Snoke also the leader of the group Abrams confirmed as the Knights of Ren or a part of The First Order? So many new questions while a previous questions has been answered. And Abrams did his part to add even more questions to the list.

"Could The First Order exist as a group that actually admired The Empire? Could the work of The Empire be seen as unfulfilled? And could Vader be a martyr? Could there be a need to see through what didn’t get done?"

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS releases on December 18, 2016.
