The movie is titled BATMAN V. SUPERMAN for a reason and that reason is the two heroes being the focus of the film. Recently a rumor was going around the web claiming that Warner Bros. wanted more Batman and less Superman in the film while it's in post-production.
Director Zack Snyder commented on this rumor to TheDailyBeast and stated that Batman does need a little more screen time but only because he needs more explaining in this new DC Extended Universe version of the Caped Crusader.
“Only in that because it’s a different Batman than the Batman that was in the Chris Nolan movies, so we have a little bit more explaining to do—and you just had a whole Superman movie. But I think only in that way, because you need to understand where Batman is with everything. And that’s more toward the beginning, but it evens back out as it goes on.”
In other words, Batman needs a little more screen time because Superman had an entire origin movie for himself in MAN OF STEEL. This is (and should have been) more of a logical thought than anything else.
