According to Deadline, actor Simone Missick has been cast in a role called "Missy," but the trade website claims it's actually for the role of Mercedes "Misty" Knight.
"She will play what is listed on the breakdown as 'Missy', a woman with a strong sense of justice... [her] actual character is Marvel’s Misty Knight, a former NYPD officer who gets a new bionic arm by Tony Stark after losing her in the line of duty. She eventually launches a detective agency, helping Cage."
The new Marvel series is also said to have begun filming in New York City this week, per OnLocationVacations, in a studio at Broadway Stages in Brooklyn.
LUKE CAGE stars Mike Colter in the title role and premieres exclusively on Netflix in the 4th quarter of 2016.
