Unless you haven't thought about it, it should be obvious in the DC Extended Universe Aquaman will first be introduced as an angry person. This is not only due to having a badass actor like Jason Momoa playing and making the character his own version, but also due to the events which occurred in MAN OF STEEL. General Zod's tech seriously damaged the Earth's oceans and Aquaman is not happy.
This was revealed by Momoa in an interview with site The Robot's Voice (via ComingSoon) as well as an homage tease to Aquaman's comic book color scheme.
“Well, there might be some bit of orange and green. A bit of respect to prior work, but I think he is meaner now and upset – look at what has been done to our oceans. That’s his world that has been polluted.”
Also in this interview Momoa confirmed he has been scanned for movie-based Aquaman toys. So get that bathtub cleaned and/or the pool ready because there will be underwater adventures to re-create!
