There's been so many teases WOLVERINE 3 might be loosely based on the comic book story 'Old Man Logan' that it would be a huge let down if it's not based on the comic story arc. Sir Patrick Stewart has hinted at it and actor Hugh Jackman has several times as well.
Now 'Old Man Logan' comic writer Mark Millar has hinted at it to IGN.
“Obviously I know what the final [Wolverine movie is] going to be, so I can't say, but I can just say what Hugh Jackman said. Hugh Jackman walked out on stage at Comic-Con a few months back and he said, ‘I've got three words for you: Old Man Logan.’ and everyone went crazy and everything."
Hey Fox, just confirm the title for WOLVERINE 3 is actually 'WOLVERINE: OLD MAN LOGAN'... Thanks.
WOLVERINE 3 will be directed by James Mangold (THE WOLVERINE), it begins filming in the 1st quarter of 2016 and releases in theaters on March 3, 2017.
