NYCC 2015: Bryan Cranston is Casting Himself as X-MEN Villain MR. SINISTER

When BATMAN V. SUPERMAN was casting for Lex Luthor, there were plenty of rumors that Bryan Cranston could be up for the role. Coming off of his multi-award winning role as Walter White / Heisenberg in Breaking Bad, Cranston was a hot name in casting circles at the time.

The actor is still a hot commodity but the rumor mill has quieted down when it comes to his name possibly being attached to big blockbuster, tentpole movies.

So at New York Comic Con this past weekend, via Buzzfeed, Cranston decided to cast himself in a big villain role as he told the crowd he wants to be the X-Men villain Mr. Sinister.

“It intrigues me to be able to play a character that hasn’t been on film before, so you can create it from the beginning,” Cranston also said.

Mr. Sinister's powers are as follows: Master manipulator and planner, superhuman strength and durability, genius-level intellect, regenerative healing factor, telepathy, molecular manipulation, shapeshifting, virtual immunity to injury, energy projection via telekinesis, teleportation via tesseract headquarters and prolonged longevity.

While a big screen version of Mr. Sinister probably won't have all these powers and abilities this pairing sounds like a great match! Hope you're listening Fox and X-Men producers Laura Shuler Donner and Simon Kinbeg...
