NYCC 2015: Madame Masque and New AGENT CARTER Characters Confirmed by Marvel

At New York Comic Con (cue my tears of jealousy), fans are swarming to the Internet to find out more information about their favorite comic book shows and movies. During the 'Agents of Primetime' panel, AGENT CARTER producers Tara Butters, Michele Fazeka and Chris Dingess released new info for Season 2. It’s official: Peggy Carter’s trip to Hollywood is for a special SSR mission. Looks like her new boss, Daniel Sousa, is finally acknowledging and using her skill set.

The main villain has officially revealed. Madame Masque / Whitney Frost will be played by The Newsroom alumni Wynn Everett. We now know that Whitney will be not only an actress, but also a scientist. Dare we say that Howard Stark might meet his match?

Fans will also see several other new characters in addition to returning characters. Edwin Jarvis’ wife will be joining him and Peggy in Hollywood. Lotte Verbeek will be playing the lively Ana Jarvis, who was only referenced in Season 1. It’ll be interesting to see Verbeek bring the character to life on the small screen and see how her personality contrasts against that of her more proper husband.

Currie Graham will also be joining the cast to play the powerful businessman and husband of Whitney Frost (most likely to be equally evil) and Peggy's might have a main squeeze of her own in Jason Wilkes, a zany scientist played by Reggie Austin. Will he be her possible husband that the producers have hinted that we’d see on the show?

There has been confirmation of the following returning cast: Angie Martinelli (Lyndsy Fonseca), Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), Dottie Underwood (Bridget Reagan), Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) and Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray). With many new cast members it will be interesting to see how the Season 1 cast fits into this new town, especially Dottie. The last time we saw Dottie she was kicked out of the window by our heroine. It’s safe to say that whatever reunion between Peggy and Dottie happens will most likely not be a pleasant one.

No doubt there will probably be a change in ambiance within the show with the setting moving to the west coast, but I am sure it will also bring a new type of allure that will appeal to viewers who loved the first season and will love the next. No release date of Season 2, but it will most likely be during the midseason break of AGENTS OF SHIELD, in January.
