Rumor: FANTASTIC FOUR Movie Rights Might be Back at Marvel From an Exchange With Fox For X-Men TV Rights

UPDATE: Several reports claim the rights are still at Fox, but the fact remains that fans have a passion for the franchise to be done the right way. Click here to read more.

The following is the original post...

Last night Marvel officially announced that Marvel TV would partner up with Fox for two new X-Men spin-off mutant shows: HELLFIRE on Fox and LEGION on FX. After this news broke, there were many asking The Daily SuperHero what Marvel got in exchange for green lighting this deal.

Well that answer may have surfaced in the form of a new rumor from the website DenOfGeek. According to this rumor, Fox may have given up the movie rights to FANTASTIC FOUR — which would also include the rights to Doom (!), Silver Surfer (!!) and Galactus (!!!) — for the ability to get the two new X-Men shows green lit and Fox acquired the TV rights for the X-Men from Marvel. Please note: Back in August, when word first broke Fox wanted to get into the mutant TV show business, many speculated it would take Fox giving up the FANTASTIC FOUR movie rights to make it happen.

This rumor report also goes on to say that one of the newly announced 2020 Marvel Studios film release dates set last week coincides with this deal between the two companies and FANTASTIC FOUR will be brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe on one of those three release dates.

Again, all of this is rumor right now and nothing has been confirmed by Marvel or Fox, so until it is take a nice dose of salt with this rumor for now.
