Warner Bros. already has lead actor, Jason Momoa, and director James Wan attached to its AQUAMAN movie, as well as two different scripts for it. But The Hollywood Reporter is now saying the studio has brought on a new writer to streamline the script and work closely with Wan.
"David Leslie Johnson [Wrath of the Titans] has been hired to write Aquaman, Warner Bros.’ big-screen take on the water-breathing DC Entertainment superhero character... One source said that Johnson would be a third rail on the development track however several sources said Johnson is working with Wan to streamline the project. Warners had no comment."
AQUAMAN is scheduled to release in 2018.
