GAMBIT: Fox Reportedly in Final Talks With 'Edge of Tomorrow' Director Doug Liman

Fox's new X-Men spin-off movie GAMBIT was supposed to start filming last month in Louisiana but that was before the budget reportedly became inflated which then caused changes creating a filming delay until early 2016. This delay meant that the studio lost director Rupert Wyatt due to his conflicting schedule.

The studio went hunting for a new director and according to The Hollywood Reporter they have found one and are in final talks for Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman to helm the Channing Tatum film.

Because of its production delay, it is still unknown if GAMBIT will be able to hit is current release date on October 7, 2016. However, once Liman signs on the dotted line there could be a change of release date announcement as soon as a director is officially attached.
