Sony's Animated SPIDER-MAN Movie is Pushed Back to December 2018

Back in April, Sony announced they were developing a full length feature animated movie for Spider-Man with The LEGO Movie duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The animated movie was tentatively scheduled to release in summer 2018 but it has now been pushed back to December 21, 2018.

No further information has been made available about this animated movie except that it will not be a part of any movie universe canon for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it's a stand alone feature that won't be like any other Spider-Man origin you've seen before.

"...{I}t is not just another Peter Parker origin story that you’ve seen 400 times," Miller said back in August. "It is something totally unique and different and not like anything you’ve seen. That’s all I can say… and you’re going to love it!"
