Mark Ruffalo seems to be more in the media spotlight than some of his fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe actors. Therefore there's more media access to him and he's been quite vocal about teasing his next upcoming turn as Bruce Banner and Hulk in THOR: RAGNAROK.
Speaking with Empire, Ruffalo further teases what kind of film Ragnarok is developing into before it starts filming in Australia this summer.
“There’s a little bit of Midnight Run, with [Charles] Grodin and [Robert] De Niro. I feel like that’s kind of where we’re heading with this relationship between Thor and Banner. It is a universal road movie – that’s where we’re heading. It’s not where you'd think it will be, so it’s not your classic road movie but it has that structure, I think.
"The fact that we’re moving towards the smart-comedic bent plays into our relationship."
This follows on the heels of Ruffalo teasing that Ragnarok will have a buddy picture feel between Hulk and Thor last October.
"... I think it's going to be a buddy picture with Thor and Bruce Banner."
THOR: RAGNAROK releases on November 3, 2017.
