For all the positivity DEADPOOL is getting in its opening weekend, here's a little bit of bad news for the film's fans hoping to see more insanity from the Merc With a Mouth. Previously, it was reported there would be a Director's Cut of the movie releasing at some point later this year.
Well, this is now wrong as director Tim Miller has officially confirmed (via Collider) there will not be a Director's Cut release.
“I don’t wanna be all Joss Whedon on you, but no there’s not [a director’s cut]… There are some deleted scenes that have some extra stuff, but I’m pretty happy with this cut. I like it.”
DEADPOOL may break tons of records in the box office this weekend but it will not get a more raunchier and unrated version. What you have (or you will) see in the theater is the version that will remain as is.
