AQUAMAN and THE FLASH: Writer Chris Terrio's Commitment to Research Helped Him Develop These Live Action Characters

Both AQUAMAN and THE FLASH are coming from Warner Bros. and DC Films after 2017's JUSTICE LEAGUE movie. And according to producer Charles Rovan, per Wall Street Journal, these films will pick up the story of these heroes after the events of JUSTICE LEAGUE to continue the storyline through to JUSTICE LEAGUE 2.

"While each movie stands alone, they’re all part of one long arc of storytelling."

Rovan, then, went on to disclose the research BATMAN V. SUPERMAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE writer Chris Terrio did to help create the live action versions of AQUAMAN and THE FLASH.

"He studied red- and blueshifts in electromagnetic physics to think about the Flash... investigated deep sea biology in the Mariana trench to create the world of Aquaman..."

He also gave Terrio credit for developing the live action version of Wonder Woman, too.

"...[A]nd read the Greek historian Diodorus of Sicily’s account of the war between Amazon and Atlantis to better understand Wonder Woman."

Since he's written BATMAN V. SUPERMAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE, Terrio has laid the groundwork for these heroes for AQUAMAN director James Wan and THE FLASH director Seth Grahame-Smith.

THE FLASH releases on March 23, 2018  and AQUAMAN releases on July 27, 2018.
