LEGION: Katie Aselton Sticks With FX After 'The League' and Joins Mutant Series

FX's new mutant series LEGION is moving forward fast. Created by Noah Hawley, FX's Fargo creator, this series will not be connected to Fox's X-Men movie universe even though it features Professor Charles Xavier's son David Haller.

The cast is looking great and it's added another member. Former The League actor Katie Aselton has joined as Haller's love interest Amy, per Deadline.

"A haunted man, David is getting tired of finding his way back to sanity and is about to give up when he meets the girl of his dreams, a fellow patient, and is confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real. Aselton will play Amy."

Aselton joins lead actor Dan Stevens as well as Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart and Rachel Keller. LEGION will be co-produced by FX Productions and Marvel TV; and its pilot episode could premiere in the last half of 2016.

No word on if FX is thinking of giving the series a half- or full-order. As of the publishing of this post FX has only green lit a pilot episode.
