Spider-Man No More: Actor J.K. Simmons Will be Commissioner Gordon in JUSTICE LEAGUE

Any excitement Marvel fans had at the thought of actor J.K. Simmons potentially returning to his role as J. Jonah Jameson in Marvel Studios and Sony's SPIDER-MAN reboot have pretty much just disappeared. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Simmons has been cast in Warner Bros. and DC Film's JUSTICE LEAGUE as Commissioner Jim Gordon. (Sly move Warner Bros.)

Actor Ben McKenzie currently plays a version of Gordon in Fox's television series GOTHAM, and Gary Oldman last played the commissioner on the big screen in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy.

Directed by Zack Snyder, JUSTICE LEAGUE is set to begin production next month in London and releases on November 17, 2017.
