Kara calls out sick from Catco but has to deal with Lucy being back at the DEO with a Colonel Jim Harper from the Marine Corps to investigate J’onn J’onnz. During the investigations, J’onn tells Lucy and the Colonel about how he saved Jeremiah Danvers from a poisonous snake while Danvers and the real Hank were hunting him. Jeremiah is willing to vouch for him as non-threatening but the real Hank attacks J’onn J’onnz and Jeremiah gets stabbed saving him and tosses real Hank over a cliff with a final request to protect his daughter. Well that friendship ended fast...
When Alex is being interrogated by Lucy and Colonel Harper, her flashback reveals that J’onn as Hank saved Alex from life as a party girl and bailed her out of jail, giving her a job at the DEO, giving her purpose. Although Alex passes the lie detector and answers all their questions, they still take her and J’onn to experimental alien lab called Project Cadmus.
Kara asks for James' help in getting Lucy over and reveals her secret identity. Her flashback reveals that she once saved woman and her baby from a car accident. She is then warned by her father to be careful about revealing her powers and to try to fit in.
Her story moves Lucy and they finally get her onboard to help them save Hank and Alex. When Hank goes to erase Colonel Harper's memory, he finds that Jeremiah is still alive and is at Project Cadmus. Now that they realize their father is alive, Alex is on the run with Hank to find him and Kara has to hold down the fort at the DEO, where they find out that Lucy is the new acting director of the DEO.
Siobhan has also been on a warpath after Kara rats her out and Siobhan can't get another job. She goes as far as to write a nasty email as Kara to Cat. However, Cat is far from stupid. She calls Siobhan in to tell her that Winn helped her figure out that she was the one who wrote the letter and not Kara and threatens to call the cops if she pulls anything like that again.
Siobhan, in dismay, drunkenly falling off the roof off a building while taking to Winn. Just as she's about to hit the ground, her scream creates a type force field between her and ground and stops her. Ah the origin story of the Silver Banshee begins.
It seems that we finally are getting more details on the Danvers family. After the reveal that Jeremiah is still alive and Project Camdus, it’ll be interesting to see what they’re doing to him. Fun Fact: Project Cadmus is named after the Greek God who took the teeth of the dragon he killed and created warrior. Maybe this will possibly hint to the scientists trying to make a warrior or weapon out of Jeremiah Danvers if they resurrected him. With Jeremiah being discovered to be alive, will this bring back Mama Danvers to National City? No doubt will she want to see her husband unless the girl’s decide to keep it under wraps, which would be a very bad idea.
Kara seems to be trying to win back the hearts of the city, one person at a time. The media still paints her as untrustworthy, but when she gets help from an agent within the DEO to eavesdrop on the interrogation, there is a shred of hope that Kara may just be getting regarded as a hero again. Nan is still MIA, no doubt will make his appearance at the worst moment possible.
Next week is finally the crossover we’ve been waiting for; THE FLASH is making his way to National City. A crossover between the DC shows have been hinted ever since the declaration of the SUPERGIRL series. THE FLASH will be a much needed ally for Kara as she intends to battle the Silver Banshee and the returning Livewire.
