Since last summer there's been reports claiming actor Ben Affleck was not only working on a script for a solo BATMAN movie, with DC Comic CCO Geoff Johns, but he might direct it too.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Affleck most definitely has written a script, although the trade site doesn't say if he also wrote it with Johns, and it's a cool idea for the hero as well as being Affleck's own unique take on the Caped Crusader. Also being reported is that Affleck is signed on for both of the JUSTICE LEAGUE movies.
If Warner Bros. and DC Films really liked Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN, and they should, then they have an Affleck-written script just waiting for a green light for full development and production.
In other words, and based on the overall audience applause for Affleck's portrayal of the Dark Knight in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN, it seems more than logical to say a (hopeful) official announcement for an Affleck-led, written and maybe directed BATMAN movie is right around the corner as long as the studio can get in-line with Affleck so he can fit it around his schedule.
