BATMAN V. SUPERMAN isn't even in theaters until later this month and SUICIDE SQUAD doesn't hit until this summer, but a new report from TheWrap states that Warner Bros. is already thinking about SUICIDE SQUAD 2.
This is from a report talking about how SUICIDE SQUAD actor Will Smith (Deadshot) and director David Ayer are working together on an upcoming movie called Bright. In this report TheWrap wrote:
"Ayer hopes to fit [Bright] into his fall schedule before Warner Bros. brings him and Smith back for a planned 'Suicide Squad' sequel in 2017."
Sounds like Warner Bros. and DC Films are really excited about SUICIDE SQUAD. So much so the sequel could be in development with writers right now and 2017 is being eyed to begin production and filming on the villain ensemble sequel. Warner Bros. and DC have yet to confirm this report as of the publishing of this post.
SUICIDE SQUAD releases on August 5, 2016.
