Rumor has it that Warner Bros. and director David Ayer might be adding more Batman into this summer's SUICIDE SQUAD during its current three weeks of reshoots. Initially, a Batman appearance was shown with the Caped Crusader riding on top of the Joker's purple sports car in its early trailer.
Fandango caught up with Ayer and asked him directly about how much Batman will be in the movie.
"Just the right amount," Ayer said.
A smug response, for sure, but you can't blame Ayer for not wanting to reveal how much Batman is in the movie. Ayer did confirm that SUICIDE SQUAD will acknowledge events in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE.
In the same interview, Will Smith disclosed that his Deadshot character does cross paths with Batman and actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Killer Croc, will also run into the Dark Knight. The majority of the villains all come from Batman's Rogues Gallery, and it sounds like Batman is making more than just a simple and quick cameo in this movie.
SUICIDE SQUAD releases on August 5.
