Over the past few days a rumor has made the rounds coming from a notoriously tabloid-y website, which is why you never saw it here on The Daily SuperHero. The rumor claimed STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS and STAR WARS EPISODE VIII star John Boyega was meeting with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige for a potential role in BLACK PANTHER.
Boyega has been vocal about his love for the Marvel hero in the past and it was also being noted that Feige recently followed Boyega on Twitter. This was somehow corroborating the rumor that a BLACK PANTHER role was in Boyega's future.
Well, one of Boyega's reps took to Twitter to debunk it.
My client @JohnBoyega will not be starring in Black Panther. Now for the news...— MR FEMI OGUNS (MBE) (@MrFemiOguns) May 19, 2016
There you have it. Don't believe everything you read online especially from sites who post rumor after rumor each week.
And to cover the other side of this story, we will just say that there's always the possibility of Boyega being up for another Marvel Studios role in a different movie. But this isn't news either, just a random guess.
