Seeing CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR for a second time made me realize that War Machine has not had an Artificial Intelligence voice assistant like how Iron Man previously had JARVIS and now has FRIDAY assisting him in the suit.
The Daily SuperHero took to Twitter and asked the question why, while tagging actors Don Cheadle and Robery Downey Jr. as well as Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Within minutes Cheadle responded.

In case you don't understand Cheadle's reference here, it is from a conversation he once had with Conan O'Brien about how his War Machine suit was much heavier than Downey's and jokingly Cheadle blamed racism. (Click here to see the full interview and transcription.)
Instead, Cheadle seems to like the idea that Rhodey is just a better pilot than Stark so he doesn't need any assistance in the suit. And don't forget Stark definitely has plenty of A.I. assistants to share as was seen in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON when he picked FRIDAY to be his suit's new A.I.
